Hello everyone, my name is Anna. Last Saturday was my twelfth birthday, and I had a fantastic party to celebrate. I invited all of my friends and a few of my friends from school. The party started at 2 PM in our backyard, which my parents and I decorated with colorful balloons and streamers.
When the guests arrived, we had some fun outdoor games like sack races and tug of war. Everyone was laughing and having a great time. My friend Emma brought her camera, and she took lots of pictures of us playing and smiling.
After the games, we moved to the picnic tables where my mum had prepared a delicious meal. There were sandwiches, chips, fruit salad, and a variety of drinks. My favorite was the homemade lemonade. We all sat down to eat and chat, and I could feel the excitement in the air.
Once we finished eating, it was time for my favorite part of the party – the cake! My mom had baked a large chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, and it was decorated with my favorite cartoon characters. Everyone was gathering around the table while my parents were lighting the twelve candles on the cake. My friends sang "Happy Birthday" to me. Then I made a wish before blowing out the candles in one big breath. I can't tell you what my wish was, but I hope it comes true!
After we had our cake, which was absolutely delicious, we spent the rest of the afternoon playing the board game and listening to music. My dad had set up a small speaker in the backyard, and we took turns choosing songs. We even had a little dance party, which was so much fun. The weather was perfect, and the sun was shining, making the whole day even more enjoyable.
As the party came to an end, we gathered around for one last group photo. My mom promised to print copies for everyone to keep. When it was time for my friends to leave, we said our goodbyes and hugged each other. I thanked them all for coming and for making my birthday so special.
After everyone had gone, I started opening presents. My best friend Lucas gave me a set of watercolor paints that I had wanted for a long time. I also got some new books, a beautiful scarf, and a gift card to my favorite bookstore. I felt so lucky and grateful for all the thoughtful presents.
By the end of the day, I was exhausted but extremely happy. It was a birthday party to remember, full of laughter, good food, and great company. I went to bed that night with a big smile on my face, looking forward to next year's celebration.
