Visit to Grandma

Read about a family visit to grandmother and all the fun things they do together. After that, you will have several questions to check your reading comprehension.

Last Saturday, I visited my grandmother with my parents. She lives in a small village. We visit her every month. We left home in the morning and drove for two hours.

When we arrived, Grandma was waiting for us at the door. She gave me a big hug and smiled. Her house is small but very comfortable. There are many flowers in her garden, and she has a little dog.

First, Grandma made lunch for us. We ate chicken, potatoes, and a big salad. After lunch, we sat in the garden and talked. Grandma told me stories about her childhood. She grew up in the same village. She played in the fields and climbed trees. Grandma also showed me old photos of my father when he was a little boy.

In the afternoon, I helped Grandma in the garden. We watered the flowers and picked some tomatoes. Then I played with her dog. He loves running and playing with a ball.

Before we left, Grandma gave me some homemade cookies for the journey home. I love spending time with her. She is kind, funny, and always has interesting stories to tell.
