At the zoo

My family and I visited the zoo. It was a sunny and warm day. We took the bus to get there. We arrived at ten o'clock and bought our tickets at the entrance.
First, we went to see the lions. There were two big lions sleeping under a tree. They looked calm but very strong. I was a little afraid. Then we walked to the monkey house. They were funny and noisy. They climbed the trees and jumped between branches. They played with each other.
After that, we saw the elephants. They were very big and had long trunks. One elephant was drinking water, and another one was eating some grass. We also saw giraffes eating leaves from a tall tree.
At lunchtime, we had a picnic near the lake. We ate pizza, ice-cream, and drank juice. We talked about our favorite animals.
After lunch, we visited the penguins. They were swimming in the water and walking around their pool. We also saw colorful parrots, big snakes, and turtles. The parrots could say "Hello!". They were very funny.
Before we went home, we visited the zoo shop. I bought a small toy elephant. We were tired but very happy. I would like to visit the zoo again soon.
